About Laura

Laura is from Preston in the UK and has been living in the UAE for nearly ten years. She loves the sunshine, the beaches, the brunches and the Dubai lifestyle!

She has a little pomeranian rescue dog called Christmas who she's obsessed with!  She's equally as obsessed with the Christmas festive season! She would play Christmas music all year round if she could! Michael Buble's number one fan. She loves a good bargain, a good laugh, good fun and she lives life to the fullest every single day. Laura is a big believer in positive thinking.

My Perfect UAE Weekend Would Look Like...

Early morning walks with Christmas followed by a hot yoga or pilates class. A nice breakfast and then a beach club to get my tan on and catch up with friends. Takeaway pizza for dinner and reality TV or/and a Christmas movie!

Favourite Delivery Order...

PIZZA! Always pizza! Pepperoni, pineapple, jalepenos, chillies, cherry tomatoes....sounds like a weird mix but trust me it's delicious!

Michael Buble, Saadiyat Nights Abu Dhabi, 16th January 2025. The greatest night of my life! Did I mention that I met him? Oh and yes I still have the cardboard cut out of him ha ha!

Rob is an entertainment legend here in the UAE!

Rob Duce’s career has taken him from Big Four accountancy to restauranteur, sushi manufacturing, event management, show business and now the airwaves as a "Talking Head" on Dubai 92.

After selling his UK business, Sushi San, he built Outside the Box Events in Dubai and now runs Theatre by QE2, bringing comedy, live music, family shows and theatre aboard the iconic ship. Whether behind the mic or behind the scenes, Rob loves bringing people together for a great time!

The Best Artist I've Ever Seen Live...

There’s been quite a few but probably The Supremes at our own venue in 2019 – The QE2 – as Susaye Green, Sherrie Payne and Joyce Vincent sang their amazing hits pitch perfect about 2 metres from where I was standing! I also saw The Clash at Leeds University when I was18! A certain Andy Kershaw arranged and promoted the gigs at Leeds in those days.
