Dubai's Al Freej Fridge campaign is back for a third year, aiming to distribute two million bottles of cold water, juices and frozen treats to workers across the emirate during the summer.
Launched with the support of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, the campaign is organised by Ferjan Dubai in collaboration with Suqia UAE and the UAE Food Bank.
Running until September 3, the initiative will provide refreshments to construction and cleaning workers, delivery riders, and road and landscaping crews to help reduce the risk of dehydration and heat stress.
Suqia UAE is supplying bottled water, while the UAE Food Bank is providing storage facilities, refrigerated vehicles and volunteers to support distribution across Dubai.
Organisers say the campaign reflects the UAE's values of compassion and community support, while recognising the contribution of outdoor workers during the peak summer months.
The initiative builds on the success of previous editions, with last year's campaign delivering two million refreshments with the support of more than 250 volunteers and over 15 public and private sector partners.
