The UAE Government's Cyber Security Council (CSC) said on Friday it has successfully countered a series of advanced cyberattacks targeting the country's financial sector.
In a statement, the Council said the national cybersecurity system detected and blocked the electronic attacks, helping to protect critical financial infrastructure and maintain the continuity of services.
No details have been released about the origin of the attacks, the organisations targeted or whether any disruption was caused.
The announcement highlights the UAE's continued investment in strengthening its cyber resilience and protecting critical national sectors against increasingly sophisticated digital threats.
Authorities have not disclosed whether further investigations are ongoing.
