UAE President honours Kuwaiti Emir with 'Order of Zayed'

The UAE's President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan awarded the 'Order of Zayed' to Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.

It's in appreciation of the strong fraternal relations that unite the two countries and the efforts of Sheikh Mishal to enhance these ties.

This award is the highest honour bestowed by the UAE on heads of state, kings and leaders.

Meanwile, the Kuwaiti Emir honoured the UAE President with the 'Order of Mubarak the Great' in recognition of his role in strengthening bilateral relations and for his efforts to foster unity and solidarity among member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

The award ceremony took place at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi during the Kuwaiti Emir's state visit to the UAE on Tuesday.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE's Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, was present to bid farewell to Sheikh Mishal later in the day.
