A young motorcyclist has been caught riding dangerously without number plates in Dubai's Al Khawaneej area.

According to Dubai Police, the rider was spotted on Sunday evening doing a wheelie along the Quranic Park walkway, putting his life and the safety of others at serious risk.

Traffic patrols quickly intervened, impounded the motorcycle and referred him to the relevant police station for further investigation.

Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, Director of the General Department of Traffic, has warned against unlicensed driving and reckless behaviour on the roads, highlighting that such violations carry heavy penalties, including arrest and vehicle seizure.

He added that officers remain committed to ensuring road safety and urged the public to report dangerous driving through the 'Police Eye' feature on the Dubai Police app or by calling 901.
