Several agreements were inked between India and UAE during the working visit of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to New Delhi, as the two nations strengthen cooperation.
The agreements were inked in the presence of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The exchanges covered key areas including defence, space, energy, food security and investment.
- Among the major agreements was a letter of intent on a strategic defence partnership between the UAE and India.
- In the space sector, the UAE Space Agency and India’s National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre signed a letter of intent to support collaboration in space industry development and commercial partnerships.
- The two sides also witnessed the exchange of a sales and purchase agreement between ADNOC Gas and India’s Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, further strengthening energy cooperation.
- In addition, a memorandum of understanding was signed on food safety and technical standards between the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, and India’s Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority.
- Investment cooperation was also boosted with a letter of intent between the UAE Ministry of Investment and the Government of Gujarat, focusing on the development of the Dholera Special Investment Region.
The agreements reflect the growing strategic partnership between the UAE and India across multiple sectors.
