Dubai has announced plans to set up a Centre for Coronavirus Control.
It follows the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council.
The new entity will include representatives from the Ministry of Health and Prevention and other relevant authorities in the emirate, under the chairmanship of Dr. Amer Ahmed Al Sharif.
The Centre is tasked with preparing strategic plans and recommendations to battle pandemics.
It will also help develop rapid intervention plans in co-ordination with other agencies in the public and private sector.
