Sialkot International Airport in Pakistan becomes first in the country to set up a rapid PCR testing facility.
This comes after passengers arriving at Dubai from Pakistan were required to carry a rapid PCR test taken four hours prior to departure.
This is in addition to GDRFA approval and a valid COVID-19 PCR test 48 hours before departure.
Pakistan International Airlines will start flights after the first and only rapid testing facility in the country becomes functional on August 12.

Rapid PCR testing is mandated by UAE authorities for passengers from at least four countries, including Pakistan, India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
This directive has initiated a push for hasty adoption of rapid PCR testing at major international airports in Pakistan and India.
